[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 경남도지사는 30일 오후 3시 김해실내체육관에서 개최된 제44회 전국장애인체육대회 폐회식에서 “제44회 전국장애인체육대회라는 새로운 역사는 330만 경남도민 모두의 가슴 속 ‘이해와 공감의 축제’로 기억될 것”이라고 감사 인사를 전했다. 

 

한계를 뛰어넘는 선수들의 열정으로 타올랐던 제44회 전국장애인체육대회가 6일간의 대장정을 마무리하고 선수단, 도민 등 500여 명과 함께 폐회식을 가졌다. 

 

박 도지사는 환송사를 통해 “경남과 함께 다시뛰는 대한민국이라는 비전으로 진행된 지난 6일간의 여정이 선수단과 방문객, 330만 도민 모두에게 평생 잊을 수 없는 소통과 화합, 이해와 단결의 시간이었길 바란다”고 말했다.

이어 “제44회 전국장애인체육대회라는 새로운 역사는 경남도민 모두의 가슴 속에 ‘이해와 공감의 축제’로 기억될 것”이라며 “일상으로 돌아가실 여러분의 삶 속에서 ‘장애인의 보편적 권리 확보’라는 비전을 담은 경남도정의 복지, 동행, 희망의 가치가 빛을 발할 수 있길 기대한다”고 말했다. 

 

또한 “올해 장애인전국체육대회를 위해 자치단체는 우수 선수 육성에 심혈을 기울이고, 선수들은 개인적 한계 극복을 넘어 더욱 특별한 성취를 위해 전심전력을 다해왔다”고 선수들을 격려했으며, 6일간의 함께했던 진행요원, 자원봉사자 그리고 김해시민을 비롯한 경남도민들의 묵묵한 뒷받침에도 박수를 보냈다. 

 

폐회식은 ▲식전공연 및 하이라이트 영상상영 ▲전국장애인체전 성적발표 및 종합시상 ▲환송사 ▲대회기 전달 ▲폐회선언 ▲성화 소화 ▲축하공연 순으로 진행됐다. 창원 한마음 오케스트라의 식전공연에 이어 6일간 선수들의 뜨거운 열정을 담은 하이라이트 영상이 상영되었고, 개식선언을 통해 공식행사가 시작됐다.

 

성적발표 및 종합시상 이후 박완수 경남도지사는 전국장애인체육대회기를 차기 개최지인 부산광역시에 전달했고, 안경원 김해부시장의 제44회 전국체육대회 폐회선언에 이어 성화가 소화되며 제44회 전국장애인체전의 대장정을 마무리했다.

 

이번 전국장애인체전에서 경상남도는 종합순위 3위를 기록하고 대회신기록 및 다관왕이 쏟아지는 등 대회 개최지 선수단으로서의 남다른 열정을 보여주었다.
