[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 지난 26일 경남대학교 일대에서 시민들에게 여성폭력의 위험성을 알리고 관심을 제고하기 위해 여성폭력 추방주간 기념식 및 캠페인을 실시했다고 27일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 여성폭력 추방주간(11월 25일 ~ 12월 1일)을 맞아 창원시 공무원을 비롯한 경찰, 여성 시설 관계자, 여성폭력 방지 위원회 등 50여 명이 참여했다.

1부 기념식은 여성시설 4개소에서 여성폭력 추방을 위한 1분 발언과 슬로건을 제창하였다. 2부 캠페인에서는 체험부스를 통한 폭력예방 OX퀴즈(돌림판, 캡슐뽑기), 성인지 감수성 조사와 피켓을 활용한 거리 캠페인을 통해 홍보물품을 배부하며 여성폭력에 대한 인식을 개선할 수 있도록 다양한 내용으로 추진했다.

최종옥 여성가족과장은 “이번 기념식 및 캠페인으로 갈수록 다양하고 복합적인 형태로 증가하는 여성폭력에 대한 시민들의 관심이 높아지길 바라며, 여성이 안전하고 폭력 없는 지역사회를 만들기 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 시는 여성폭력 추방주간 기념으로 지난 25일 셀프 디펜스교육을 실시했으며, 12월 3일에는 우리동네한바퀴 지킴이단 활동보고회를 개최할 예정이다.
