[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] ㈜마창대교가 6년 연속 어려운 이웃 수술비 지원을 하고 있는 가운데 2일 창원힘찬병원에 기부금 1,000만원을 전달했다. 

 

마창대교는 지난 2019년 500만원을 시작으로 2020년부터 매년 1,000만원씩 기부하며, 6년 연속 어려운 이웃 수술비 지원사업에 동참하고 있다.

 

창원힘찬병원은 전달받은 기부금으로 경남도내 취약계층의 관절, 척추 수술비를 지원할 예정이다. 

 

말기 퇴행성관절염으로 무릎 인공관절 수술이 필요한 경우 등 지역의 저소득 대상자를 선정하여 수술 건당 최대 100만원까지 지원, 연간 10명의 환자들에게 실질적인 수술비 혜택을 제공할 계획이다.

 

마창대교는 올해 기부금까지 포함하여 총 5,500만원을 창원힘찬병원에 전달했고, 배 씨와 같이 의료복지 사각지대에 있던 45명의 환자들이 수술비 지원 혜택을 받고 건강한 일상을 되찾았다.

 

마창대교 김성환 대표이사는 “취약계층 환자들의 경제적 부담을 조금이라도 덜어드릴 수 있어 기쁘게 생각한다”며, “지역과의 상생 발전을 위해 앞으로도 귀한 나눔의 가치를 실천해나가겠다”고 말했다.

 

창원힘찬병원 이상훈 병원장은 “6년째 이어진 마창대교의 따뜻한 동행이 지역의 소외계층에 큰 힘이 되고 있다”며, “병원에서도 최선의 진료 서비스로 온정의 손길에 보답하겠다”고 감사의 인사를 전했다.
