▲ 경남도, 미국서 관광·첨단산업 투자유치 활동 총력

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 지난 2일부터 6일까지 5일간 미국 댈러스와 로스앤젤레스에 소재한 관광·첨단산업 기업을 대상으로 해외 투자유치 활동을 펼쳤다.

 

경남도는 상업용 쇼핑센터‧호텔 개발 기업인 ‘SAM MOON GROUP’, 항공기 부품 제조 업체 ‘KIHOMAC’ 등 6개 기업을 대상으로, 남해안의 천혜의 자연환경 등 경남의 관광 여건을 알리고, 우주항공청, 경남항공국가산업단지 등 우주항공산업중심지로서 경남의 입지와 투자인센티브를 홍보했다.

 

특히, ‘SAM MOON GROUP’은 미국 댈러스 내 상업용 쇼핑센터 개발업을 시작으로 호텔업까지 사업을 확장한 업체로, ‘JW Marriot Dallas’, ‘Hyatt Regency Dallas’ 등의 호텔을 운영 중이다. 

 

도는 이 기업에 관광투자 후보지를 제안하고, 경남권 숙박관광객 수요 증가에 따른 투자 당위성을 설명했다.

 

경남도는 지난 9월 26일부터 28일까지 관광산업 활성화와 외국인 투자유치를 위한 ‘2024 경상남도 국제관광 투자유치설명회’와 현장투어를 성황리에 개최한 바 있으며, 앞으로도 외국인 투자유치를 위해 투자유치설명회, 투자유치 상담 등 다양한 활동을 지속적으로 추진할 예정이다.
