[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 박완수 도지사가 3일 열린 확대간부회의에서 “대기업과의 협력 없이는 지역 경제 활성화도 어렵다”며, 지역 내 대기업과의 소통 및 관리 체계 강화를 최우선 과제로 제시했다. 

 

특히, 기업 유치만큼이나 이미 도내에 자리 잡은 대기업과의 관계를 체계적으로 관리하는 것이 더욱 중요하다고 강조했다.

 

박 지사는 “경남에는 조선·자동차·항공·에너지 등 다양한 산업군의 대기업이 다수 위치해 있지만, 도와 대기업 간의 협력과 소통이 원활하지 않다”고 지적하며, “대기업과의 긴밀한 협력을 위해 행정적 지원을 확대하고, 필요하다면 대기업 협력을 전담할 전문가를 채용해 체계적으로 관리해야 한다”고 말했다.

 

또한, “기업을 유치하는 것도 중요하지만, 이미 자리 잡은 기업이 지역사회와 함께 성장할 수 있도록 도 차원에서 적극적으로 지원해야 한다”며, “울산 등 타 지역과 비교했을 때, 경남이 대기업과의 소통이 부족한 부분이 있다. 단순한 형식적 간담회가 아니라 실질적인 협력 방안을 모색해야 한다”고 덧붙였다.

 

이날 회의에서는 대기업과의 협력뿐만 아니라, 경상남도의 새로운 성장 동력을 마련하기 위한 전략도 논의됐다. 

 

박 지사는 지난달 23일 국가바이오위원회가 발표한 ‘바이오 클러스터 구축 계획’을 언급하며, “우리 경남도 의료·의생명 산업을 육성해온 만큼, 정부 계획과 연계해 사업을 적극 유치해야 한다”고 밝혔다.

 

석탄 화력발전소 폐지에 대비해서는 “화력발전소 부지를 수소 에너지 기지 등 신재생에너지 거점으로 전환해 나가야 한다”며, “장기적인 전략을 가지고 관련 기관 단체들과의 협력이 필요하다”고 말했다.

 

또한 박 지사는 지난 주말 일본 방문 결과를 공유하면서 농수산물 수출 기반 강화와 투자 유치 활성화를 강조했다.

박 지사는 “농수산물 수출 상담은 단기적인 실적뿐만 아니라 지속적으로 농업인들이 참여하는 방식으로 운영해 경남 농수축산물의 수출 기반을 강화해야 한다”고 말했다. 

 

투자 유치와 관련해서는 “기업이 경남에 투자하려면 반드시 이익이 있어야 한다. 경제자유구역을 확대하고 각종 인센티브를 제공해 경남이 투자하기에 가장 매력적인 지역이 되도록 해야 한다”고 주문했다.

 

이어 박 지사는 ‘제6차 국토·국지도 5개년도로건설계획’에 경남 지역 주요 간선 도로 21건이 반영된 점을 높이 평가하며, “국토교통부 심사를 거쳐 기획재정부 예비타당성 조사 대상으로 선정됐다. 

 

한 건이라도 빠지지 않도록 실무적으로 끝까지 노력해달라”고 지시했다.

 

아울러 올해 광복 80주년을 맞아 의미 있는 해가 될 수 있도록 철저하게 준비해줄 것을 관련 부서에 지시하고, 경남 FC에 대해서도 올해는 도민들의 기대에 부응할 수 있도록 적극적인 지원이 필요하다고 강조했다.

 

박 지사는 “올해는 공존과 성장, 희망의 경남을 실현하는 한 해가 되어야 한다. 직접 현장에서 도민들의 목소리를 듣고, 실질적인 변화를 이끌어갈 수 있도록 최선을 다해 달라”고 당부했다.
