[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시가 시민이 단기에 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 삶의 개선을 이루고자 지난해부터 5개 구청별 여건과 수요를 균형 있게 반영해 생활밀착형 사업을 추진해 온 가운데 올해도 일상 변화의 체감도를 대폭 끌어올린다는 계획이다.

 

홍순영 자치행정국장은 3일 정례브리핑을 통해 이 같이 밝히고 올해는 기존의 문화·생활편의, 건강·녹지, 도로·교통, 재난·안전 등 4개 분야 약 4,966억 원 규모의 총 323개 사업 중 완료된 92건을 제외한 231건의 진행사업을 중점 추진한다고 밝혔다.

 

생활밀착형 사업은 최근 준공된 ‘성주사역 환승센터~안민동 철도 건널목 조성사업’의 사례와 같이 지난 몇 년간 길이 막혀 먼 길을 돌아가야 되는 주민 불편사항을 해결하거나 크고 작은 생활기반시설의 개선을 통해 시민들이 생활의 편의를 몸소 느낄 수 있도록 변화를 주는 사업이다.

 

분야별로 북면 화천민원센터, 진해 동부지역 생활문화센터 건립으로 주민 생활 편의를 높이고, 해양드라마세트장 리모델링, 여좌천 복원 정비 등을 추진해 문화·관광 기반도 강화할 계획이다.

 

또한, 최근 인기를 얻고 있는 파크골프장, 맨발걷기 산책로를 권역별로 확충해 나가는 한편, 월영연못공원과 장미공원 재정비, 산호천 음악분수 설치 등으로 도심 속 휴식 공간도 제공할 계획이다.

 

이 외에도 주거·상업지역 공영주차장 확충, 보행로 신설·정비 등 시민 생활과 직결되는 사업을 중점 추진하고 추가적인 수요도 시민과 함께 지속적으로 발굴하여 빠짐없이 담아갈 예정이다.
