▲ 과학기술정보통신부가 주관한 ‘ICT이노베이션스퀘어 확산사업’

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도와 경남테크노파크는 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원에서 실시하는 인력양성 사업인 ‘ICT이노베이션스퀘어 확산사업’ 연차평가에서 부산·울산·경남 컨소시엄이 2년 연속 1위를 달성해 인센티브 4억 3천만원을 확보했다.

‘ICT이노베이션스퀘어 확산사업’은 과학기술정보통신부가 주관하고, 정보통신산업진흥원이 전담하는 사업으로, 국내 AI･SW분야 전문인력 양성을 목표로 현재 4개 권역(동남, 동북, 충청, 호남)에서 디지털 신기술 교육사업을 추진하고 있다.

경남TP는 지난 2020년 8월 동남권 컨소시엄(부산·울산·경남)을 형성해 사업에 선정됨에 따라, 지난 5년간 총 8,059명의 동남권 디지털 혁신인재를 양성했다. 

특히 ▲지역특화형 산업 육성으로 양질의 일자리 창출 ▲지역 맞춤형 창업 및 혁신 생태계 조성 ▲지역 맞춤형 인재 양성 및 지역 정착 효과의 기여를 인정받아, 과학기술정보통신부와 정보통신산업진흥원 주최 연차평가에서 최종 1위에 선정돼 인센티브 4억 3천만원을 포함해 사업예산 약 66억 5천만원을 확보했다.

김정환 경남TP 원장은 “동남권이 디지털 인재양성의 거점 역할을 하기 위해 지역특화산업 맞춤형 인재양성에 힘쓰고 있다”며 “수도권으로 유출되는 디지털 인재가 다시 동남권으로 회귀할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
