[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 청소년들의 건강한 성장과 꿈을 지원하기 위해 건립한 김해시서부청소년센터의 개관식이 지난 8일 개최됐다

 

김해시서부청소년센터는 지난 2004년 중부권인 구산동 김해시청소년센터(청소년문화의집) 건립 이후 청소년들의 염원을 담아 21년 만에 건립된 지역 2번째 청소년문화의집으로 서부권인 장유지역에 총사업비 97억원을 투입해 지상 3층, 지하 1층 규모로 건립됐다.

 

청소년들이 창의적이고 주도적인 활동을 통해 성장할 수 있도록 돕는 복합 문화공간으로서 청소년들의 창의성과 자율성을 높이는 데 중점을 두고 특성화실을 꾸몄다.

 

기능별로 ▲휴게공간은 1층 북카페, 휴게카페, 드림스템, 2층 라운지, 3층 라운지 ▲활동공간은 2층 댄스실(2실), 밴드실, e스포츠실, 노래연습실(2실), 체육활동장, 스터디카페 등이 있다. 또 ▲프로그램실은 공작소, 요리체험실, 파티룸, 동아리실, 강의실, 다목적실 등이 있다.

시범 운영 기간인 현재 이런 다양한 공간을 바탕으로 청소년을 위한 프로그램을 진행하고 있다.

 

‘새로운 경험’ 프로그램으로 VR 콘텐츠 체험, 브릭코딩(레고로 코딩), HADO(AR피구)를, ‘건강한 방학나기’ 프로그램으로 K-POP 커버댄스, 드럼 연주 첫걸음, 오일파스텔 드로잉, 베이킹 3종, 에소프레소 커피 추출을 진행하고 있다. 

 

‘새학기 준비’ 프로그램으로 바른글씨, 과학실험을 진행 중이며 청소년들의 참여가 활발하다.

 

홍태용 시장은 “청소년은 김해시의 미래이자 보물이다. 김해시서부청소년센터가 청소년들의 꿈과 열정을 키우는 공간으로 자리 잡길 기대한다”며 “청소년들이 센터에서 다양한 경험과 기회를 누릴 수 있도록 지속적인 관심과 지원을 이어가겠다”고 약속했다.
