[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 10일 중앙부처(해수부·문체부·기재부)를 방문해 관광개발관련 주요현안 사업에 대하여 국비('25년 추경, ’26년 예산)확보 활동에 본격적으로 나섰다.

이번 중앙부처 방문은 경남 남해안을 세계적인 해양레저 관광지로 육성하고, 수도권에 대응하는 광역관광개발 주요사업들에 대한 예산확보 등을 통해 경남관광개발 활성화를 위한 목적이다.

주요사업으로는 통영 복합해양레저관광도시 조성사업과 창원 해양레저관광 거점사업(50억원), 자란도 해양레저 복합공간 조성사업(10억원), 마산항 해양레저체험장 및 임시크루즈터미널조성사업(19억원), 해양레저관광 전문인력 양성사업(1억5천만원)

문화체육관광부 소관은 남해안 이순신 승전길 브랜드 구축, 남해안 이순신장군 승전지 순례길 조성사업(50억원), 남파랑길 보행로 개설사업(10억원), 남부권 광역관광개발사업(63억원) 등 현안사업이 원활히 추진되도록 국비 반영을 건의했다.

관광개발 사업들의 성공적 추진을 통해 경남도는 ‘하루 더 머무는 남해안 관광을 실현’하고 경남 여행을 활성화하여 지역소멸과 저출생 등의 사회문제를 해결하고 지역경제를 활성화하는 데 박차를 가하고자 한다.

김상원 경남도 관광개발국장은 “현재 계획 및 추진 중인 관광개발 사업들을 반드시 성공적으로 수행하여 관광산업 활성화에 노력하겠다”라며, “도내 주요 현안사업들이 순조롭게 추진될 수 있도록 중앙부처 및 지역 국회의원 등과 지속적으로 협력체계를 강화해 필요한 국비가 최대한 반영되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 지난 3일에는 국회를 방문하여 지역구 국회의원에게 주요현안 사업들을 설명하고 국비예산 확보가 될 수 있도록 협조를 요청했다.
