[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 10일 금산면 송백·와룡지구 친수생태공간 내 억새 군락지에 대한 환경정비를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

 

이번 정비 작업은 오는 28일까지 진행될 예정으로, 시민들에게 쾌적한 휴식공간을 제공하고, 아름다운 자연경관을 보존하기 위해서다.

 

주요 정비 내용은 억새 군락지의 생태계를 보호하고 주변 환경을 개선하는 데 중점을 둔다. 

 

시는 억새 군락지의 생육 환경을 개선하기 위해 베어내기 작업을 진행하며, 주변의 쓰레기를 수거해 보다 깨끗하고 쾌적한 환경을 만들 계획이다. 

 

또 시는 대나무숲과 끄티공원 등 인근 친수생태공간도 함께 정비해 시민들이 자연을 더욱 가까이에서 즐길 수 있도록 할 예정이다.

 

특히 진주시는 송백·와룡지구가 사계절 내내 많은 시민들이 찾는 명소로, 송백·와룡지구 파크골프장 조성으로 방문객이 급증하고 있다고 전했다. 

 

이에 따라 시는 억새 군락지 환경정비를 통해 시민들이 자연 속에서 편안히 휴식을 취하며 아름다운 경관을 만끽할 수 있도록 최선을 다한다는 방침이다.
