[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도민과의 쌍방향 소통을 강화하기 위해 올해 새롭게 도입된 프로그램인 ‘도민 상생토크’를 이어가고 있는 박완수 경남지사가 18일 통영시민들과 상생토크 시간을 가졌다.

 

이날 통영시청 강당에서 열린 ‘도민 상생토크’에 참석한 주민들이 박완수 도지사에게 지역 현안과 정책 개선을 위한 다양한 의견을 직접 전달했다.

 

이날 행사에는 천영기 통영시장과 지역 주민 260여 명이 함께했다.

 

박완수 지사는 “통영이 나날이 발전하는 모습을 보니 기쁘고 감사한 마음”이라며 인사를 전한 뒤, “오늘 자리가 여러분들과 허심탄회하게 소통하는 시간인 만큼 자유롭게 말씀해 주시면 정책에 적극 반영하겠다”고 밝히면서 시작했다.

 

박 지사는 통영을 남해안 관광 개발의 핵심 거점으로 성장시키기 위한 전략을 설명하며, ‘남해안권 발전 특별법’ 제정과 ‘남해안 아일랜드 하이웨이’ 사업 추진을 강조했다.

 

이날 주민들은 해양레저관광 육성을 위한 적극적인 지원을 요청했다. 

 

한 주민은 “해양수산부 공모사업인 ‘복합 해양레저관광도시 조성사업’에 통영 도남·도산권역이 선정돼 남해안권 거점 해양레저관광도시로 도약하길 바란다”며 도 차원의 지원을 요청했다. 

 

이에 대해 박 지사는 “공모에 통영이 선정될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”면서 “이 사업이 확정되면 1조 원 이상의 투자 유치로 지역 경제에 큰 활력이 될 것"이라고 밝혔다.

 

‘복합 해양레저관광도시 조성사업’은 2024년부터 2028년까지 1조 원 이상의 사업비가 투입되는 대규모 프로젝트로, 남해안의 해양자원과 재정, 민간투자를 접목해 해양레저관광도시를 조성하는 것이 핵심이다. 

 

현재 공모는 지난 1월 7일부터 4월 30일까지 진행되며, 이후 5월 공모평가, 6월 공모선정, 11월 기본계획 수립용역이 추진될 예정이다.

 

농어업인수당 지원사업과 관련해서는 신청 절차 간소화와 효율적 업무 처리를 위한 ‘자격정보 통합관리시스템 구축’이 제안됐다.

한편, 박 지사는 이날 오전 통영 도산면에 위치한 수산식품산업 거점센터를 방문해 운영 현황을 점검하고 관계자들을 격려했다.

 

‘수산식품산업 거점센터’는 기존의 수산물 포획·판매 중심 구조를 넘어, 가공산업으로의 확장을 통해 수산식품산업을 고도화하는 역할을 한다. 시제공장, 실험분석실, 제품개발실 등 연구개발시설을 갖추고 있으며, 지역 내 수산물 가공기업을 지원하기 위해 임대공장 3개소와 창업사무실 5개소를 운영하고 있다.
