조례는 구체적인 지원 기준과 절차를 도지사가 정하도록 하고, 2026년부터 시행될 예정이다. 

김순택 의원은 “대상포진 예방접종은 경제적 어려움이 큰 취약계층 어르신들에게 큰 부담이었으나, 이번 조례로 접근성이 향상될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 고령화 시대에 맞는 예방 중심 보건 정책 마련에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
