거제시청에서 열린 전달식에는 BNK경남은행 김태한 은행장과 거제지역 영업점장 그리고 변광용 시장과 공무원 등이 참석했다.

 

고향사랑기부금 570만원은 거제시에 주소를 두지 않은 직원들 가운데 거제에서 태어났거나 거제지역 영업점에서 근무했었던 직원 57명이 뜻을 모아 마련됐다.

 

특히 BNK경남은행 거제지역에 근무하는 직원들은 거제와 인연이 있는 직원들에게 기부의 취지를 설명하고 동참의 뜻을 전하는 등 고향사랑기부금 마련을 위해 노력해 많은 직원들이 자발적으로 함께할 수 있었다.

 

김태한 은행장은 “거제와 인연이 있었던 BNK경남은행 직원들이 고향사랑기부금을 마련하기 위해 동참했다는 점에서 매우 의미 있다. 고향사랑기부금이 지역 사회 발전은 물론 시민들의 복지 증진에 보탬이 되길 바란다. 지역 사회와 함께 성장한 BNK경남은행은 앞으로도 지역 사회에 희망을 전하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

 

한편 BNK경남은행 거제지역 직원들은 지난해에도 지역 취약계돕기 위해 뜻을 같이하고 십시일반 모은 성금 200만원을 거제시에 기탁한 바 있다.
