[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 강종순 창원특례시 농업기술센터 소장은 3일 여름철 폭염에 따른 농업인의 온열질환을 예방하고 농작업 안전을 강화하기 위해, 7월부터 본격적으로 ‘농업현장 예찰반’을 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

특히, 폭염이 집중되는 7~8월을 대응 강화 기간으로 정하고, 예찰반을 기존 6개 팀 23명에서 7개 팀 27명으로 확대 구성해 현장 대응력을 한층 높였으며, 농업인의 온열질환 예방을 위해 집중적인 현장 지도를 할 예정이다.

예찰반은 ▲농작업 중 고온 노출 위험도 진단 ▲휴식 시간 및 수분 섭취 지도 ▲폭염 시 작업 요령 안내 ▲휴식 공간 및 응급물품 점검 ▲온열질환 의심자 발생 시 응급조치 안내 등을 중점적으로 수행한다. 

또한, 고령 취약 농업인과 시설하우스 농가를 중점적으로 방문하여 폭염 대응 실태를 점검하고 온열질환 안전사고를 예방할 수 있도록 지도할 예정이다. 

강종순 농업기술센터 소장은 “폭염은 농업인의 생명과 직결되는 문제”라며, “현장 중심의 예찰반 운영을 통해 한 명의 농업인도 피해를 입지 않도록 철저히 대응하겠다”고 밝혔다.
