[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] BNK경남은행은 환경부와 한국환경산업기술원이 주관하는 돼 총 600억원 규모로 ‘ESG 한국형 녹색채권’을 발행했다고 3일 밝혔다.

BNK경남은행은 채권 발행을 위해 환경부의 한국형 녹색채권 가이드라인(K-Taxonomy) 등에 부합하는 ESG채권 관리체계를 사전에 수립하고 외부 평가기관인 나이스신용평가의 적합성 검토를 받아 채권의 적격성과 투자자 신뢰도를 높였다.

이정훈 자금부 부장은 “그동안 사회적 채권을 꾸준히 발행해 왔으나 녹색채권 발행은 이번이 첫 사례로 친환경 사업 추진과 ESG 경영을 실천하고 있다는 점에서 매우 의미 있는 성과로 평가된다. 앞으로도 BNK경남은행은 지속적인 녹색채권 발행을 통해 ESG경영을 실천해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 3rd that it issued ‘ESG Korean Green Bond’ worth a total of KRW 60 billion, hosted by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.

ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) Korean Green Bond was issued for the purpose of practicing sustainable management such as environmental protection and social value creation. The funds from the ESG green bond issuance were supported for the liquid hydrogen storage and supply business and the new construction of zero-energy buildings.
