[브레이크뉴스=하태훈 기자]  하동군은 2025년 관광객의 발길을 사로잡을 신규 '핫플레이스' 17곳을 추가로 선정했다고 밝혔다. 

 

이로써 하동을 대표하는 핫플레이스는 기존 43곳을 포함해 총 60곳으로 늘어나, 지역 관광에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 전망이다.

 

핫플레이스 지정 사업은 하동만의 숨은 매력을 발굴해 관광 브랜드로 육성하고자 2023년부터 추진해 온 사업이다. 

 

군은 올해 2월부터 신청을 받아 SNS 빅데이터 분석과 현장 실사를 거쳐 최종 명단을 확정했다.

 

이번에 선정된 곳들은 하동의 다채로운 매력을 보여준다. 

 

먼저, 하동 밀로 만든 와플이 있는 ‘밀밭’, 동화 속 산장 같은 베이커리 카페 ‘메종드하동’, 삼성궁 인근의 고즈넉한 ‘하동행궁’ 등 개성 넘치는 카페들이 포함됐다. 

 

지리산의 건강한 밥상을 웅장한 숲과 함께 즐기는 ‘본래식당’도 이름을 올렸다.

 

지리산 글램핑을 즐기는 ‘소소화개’, 반려동물과 함께 머물 수 있는 ‘설렁설렁스테이’, 레트로 감성의 ‘하동샬레’ 같은 이색 숙소와 함께, 하동호의 풍경이 눈앞에 펼쳐지는 ‘비바체리조트 인피니티풀’과 하동 특산물 대봉감 와인을 맛볼 수 있는 ‘하동와이너리’ 등도 여행객을 맞을 준비를 마쳤다.

 

공공 부문에서는 소설 ‘토지’ 속 주막을 재현한 ‘평사리토지장터주막’, 야생차밭 사이로 신비로운 분위기를 자아내는 ‘호리병속의 별천지길’, 청학동의 ‘천제당과 전통서당’ 등 하동의 역사와 자연을 품은 공간들이 선정됐다.

 

특히, 지난 3월 산불로 일부가 소실됐던 수령 900년의 ‘두양리 은행나무’는 최근 새잎을 틔우며 회복의 상징으로 떠올라 이번 핫플레이스 지정에 특별한 의미를 더했다.

 

군은 선정된 60곳의 핫플레이스를 홈페이지와 SNS 등을 통해 집중적으로 홍보하는 한편, 공간 개선을 위한 인센티브도 제공할 계획이다.

 

군 관계자는 "총 60곳으로 늘어난 핫플레이스가 ‘하동에 오면 꼭 들러야 할 곳’으로 자리매김하며 하동만의 관광브랜드로 자리 잡을 것으로 기대한다"고 말했다.
