총 6000만원 상당의 선풍기 2000대는 창원특례시가 추천한 저소득 취약계층 2000세대에 나눠 지원된다. 이외에도 BNK경남은행은 지난해 12월 창원지역 저소득 취약계층 2240세대가 겨울을 잘 보낼 수 있도록 김장 김치를 전달한 바 있다.

허종구 창원영업그룹 부행장은 “한여름 무더위로 힘겨운 시간을 보내고 있는 지역 취약계층을 위해 사랑의 선풍기를 마련하게 됐다. 건강하고 시원한 여름을 나는데 도움이 되길 바란다. 취약계층을 돕는 희망의 바람이 지역 사회 곳곳에서 불기를 희망한다”고 말했다.

한편 BNK경남은행은 무더위와 폭염으로부터 지역민과 고객들의 건강을 보호하기 위해 BNK경남은행 전 영업점을 ‘무더위 쉼터’로 조성해 운영 중이다.
