[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 지난 7월 집중호우로 큰 피해를 입은 진주시가 정부로부터 특별재난지역으로 추가 지정되면서 복구작업에 탄력이 붙을 전망이다. 

 

진주시는 지난 7월 17일부터 19일까지 사흘간 기록적인 폭우로 침수, 도로 유실, 하천 범람 등 광범위한 피해를 입어 이번 특별재난지역 지정으로 국비 지원을 받게 됐다.

 

이번 지정으로 피해 주민들은 재난지원금 외에도 국세 및 지방세 납부 유예, 공공요금 감면 등 실질적인 혜택을 추가로 받을 수 있어 일상 회복에 큰 도움이 될 전망이다.
