[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 경남농협은 13일 제11회 쌀의 날을 기념해 이상진 경남농협 부본부장, 성이경(창녕농협 조합장) RPC부울경협의회장 등이 참석한 가운데 ‘NICE RICE DAY’ 행사를 개최한다. 

이번 행사는 농협중앙회 경남본부 내 로컬푸드 직매장에서 진행되며, 소비자들에게 우리 쌀의 우수성을 알리고 소비를 촉진하기 위해 10여 종의 쌀 가공품(쌀국수, 쌀과자, 즉석밥 등)을 20~30% 특별 할인하여 준비된 물량 소진 시까지 판매한다. 

또한 행사 당일 로컬푸드 내 카페에서는 쌀 라떼 무료 시음 행사가 진행되며, 고객들이 직접 즐길 수 있는 뻥튀기 기계 시연 및 시식행사도 함께 진행할 예정이다. 

이날 행사에 참여한 성이경 협의회장은 “우리 쌀의 가치와 다양한 가공품의 우수성을 많은 소비자들이 체험할 수 있는 뜻깊은 자려였다.”며 “앞으로도 쌀 산업의 지속 가능한 발전을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다. 

또한 이상진 부본부장은 “로컬푸드 매장 등을 중심으로 우리 농산물의 소비 기반을 더욱 확대해 나가겠다”며 “지역농업과 농촌경제 활성화를 위한 다양한 소비촉진 행사를 이어가겠다”고 전했다.
