[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국립창원대학교(총장 박민원)가 싱가포르 난양공과대학교(NTU)에서 열리는 'GICC 2025 인더스트리데이' 참가와 동시에, 현지 한인회와의 협력 네트워크 구축을 통해 '글로벌 초연결 캠퍼스' 구상에 박차를 가하고 있다.

 

대학 측은 박민원 총장을 비롯한 방문단이 싱가포르 한인회(회장 박재용)의 공식 초청으로 한인회관에서 간담회를 개최하고, 상생 발전 및 실천적 교류 방안을 논의했다고 17일 밝혔다. 

 

이번 간담회에서 국립창원대와 싱가포르 한인회는 K-교육 영토 확장을 위한 실질적인 협력에 합의했다. 주요 협력 분야는 △싱가포르 명문대학과의 국제 공동 연구 및 교류 강화 △우수 외국인 유학생 유치 활성화 △싱가포르 한인회 자녀들을 위한 다양한 한국 교류 프로그램 공동 추진 등이다.

 

특히, 박 총장은 난양공대(NTU) 등과 연계하여 추진 중인 'WOLF(Worldwide Open Labs for Future) 캠퍼스' 구축 계획을 구체적으로 설명하며, 미래지향적 글로벌 연구·교육 허브를 만드는 데 싱가포르 한인회가 중요한 파트너가 될 것임을 강조했다. WOLF 캠퍼스는 전 세계 유수 대학 및 연구기관과 협력하여 국경을 초월한 연구 환경을 조성하는 창원대의 핵심 비전이다.
