[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국립창원대학교가 1969년 마산교육대학 시절부터 이어져온 대학의 반세기 발자취를 집대성한 '역사기록관'을 대학본부 1층에 개관했다.

 

국립창원대학교는 29일 대학본부 1층에서 대학기록관이 기획하고 준비한 역사기록관의 개관식을 성대하게 개최했다. 개관식은 대학의 뿌리를 되새기는 다채로운 순서로 진행되어 참석자들에게 깊은 울림을 주었다.

 

마산교육대학 시절의 교복을 착용한 학생 크리에이터(박려은 학생)가 사회를 맡아 과거의 향수를 자극했다. 마산교육대학 1회 입학생인 이기원, 박화욱 선생이 축사를 통해 대학의 초창기 정신을 전달했으며, 음악과 임동호 학생의 선창으로 마산교육대학 교가가 재현되어 정체성을 확고히 했다.

 

이날 행사에는 역대 총장, 동창회장, 현 총학생회장 등 대학의 과거와 현재를 대표하는 주요 인사들이 참석했으며, 이상희 기록연구사의 역사기록관 경과보고를 시작으로 이수오(제2~3대), 박성호(제5대), 최해범(제7대) 총장을 비롯해 김재흥 총동창회장, 장기영 전 총동창회장(1988년 총학생회장), 김정현 총학생회장 등이 참석해 축사를 통한 개관의 의미를 더하고 자리를 빛냈다.

 

국립창원대학교는 이번 역사기록관 개관을 통해 반세기 역사를 재조명하고, 이를 기반으로 미래 100년 대학으로 도약하기 위한 구성원들의 자긍심을 고취시킬 것으로 기대된다.
