대한씨름협회(회장 이준희)가 주최하고 거창군씨름협회(회장 박진영)가 주관한 이번 대회는 생활체육인부터 미래의 씨름 주역인 어린이 선수들까지 총 700여 명이 참가하여, 모래판 위에서 화합과 패기의 씨름 한마당을 연출했다.

 

10월 29일부터 나흘간 진행된 ‘대통령배 2025 전국씨름왕선발대회’에는 전국 15개 시·도 예선을 통과한 370여 명의 생활체육 선수들이 출전하여 지역의 명예를 걸고 치열한 승부를 벌였다. 온몸을 던지는 기술과 끈질긴 샅바 싸움은 씨름이 가진 강인한 매력을 유감없이 보여줬다.
