[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 국내 최대 하천형 습지인 화포천을 중심으로 20년간 꾸준히 펼쳐온 민·관 협력 생태 보전 노력이 전국 최고 수준으로 인정받았다. 

 

김해시는 '2025 대한민국 지속가능발전대회'에서 기후에너지환경부장관상인 최우수상을 수상하며, 지속가능한 도시 발전 모델을 제시했다.

 

김해시는 지난 5일 경기도 화성특례시에서 열린 ‘2025 대한민국 지속가능발전대회’ 시상식에서 전국지속가능발전협의회가 주최한 제27회 대한민국 지속가능발전 공모전 최우수상(기후에너지환경부장관상)을 수상하는 영예를 안았다.

 

김해시의 수상 사례는 '20년의 동행, 람사르습지도시 김해, 지속가능 여정'이라는 주제로 출품되었다. 특히, 국내 최대 하천형 습지이자 멸종위기종 23종을 포함해 약 800여 종의 생물이 서식하는 생태 보고인 '화포천습지'를 핵심으로 내세웠다.
