▲ 두산에너빌리티, 진해서 대규모 사회공헌활동 펼쳐

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 두산에너빌리티가 밝고 안전한 ‘안심마을’ 만들기 일환으로 창원시 진해구 아랫장천마을에서 대규모 사회공헌활동을 펼쳤다.

 

지난 7일 올해 입사한 신입사원 전원과 사내 명장협의회 소속 직원 등 250여 명은 지난해 '안심마을'로 조성한 진해구 아랫장천마을을 다시 찾아 골목길 벽면 도색 등 환경개선 활동으로 구슬땀을 흘렸다.

 

‘안심마을’은 빛과 에너지라는 기업의 특성을 살린 두산에너빌리티의 대표적인 사회공헌활동 중 하나이다. 

 

신재생에너지인 태양광을 활용해 안전 취약지역에 조명을 설치하고, 주변 환경을 정비해 주민들의 귀갓길을 더 밝고 쾌적하게 만드는 것을 목표로 한다. 

 

두산에너빌리티는 신입사원들이 기업의 사회적 책임을 느끼고 나눔을 실천할 수 있도록 입문교육 필수 프로그램 중 하나로 사회공헌활동을 운영하고 있다. 

 

이날 신입사원과 함께 두산에너빌리티 최고의 숙련 기술자로 구성된 사내 명장협의회 직원들도 태양광 안내등 설치 등에 힘을 보탰다.

 

김동철 두산에너빌리티 부사장은 “앞으로도 두산에너빌리티는 지역사회와 소통하고 협력해 안전하고 지속가능한 환경을 만들어 나가는데 힘을 모아 나가겠다”며 “특히, 기업의 역량과 기술을 활용한 다양한 사회공헌활동을 꾸준하게 펼칠 것”이라고 밝혔다.

 

두산에너빌리티는 안심마을 조성 외에도 에너지 취약계층 지원과 보행장애 아동 후원, 창원시 지역아동센터 15년째 후원 등 다양한 분야에서 사회공헌활동을 지속해 왔다. 

 

그 결과 지난달 사회복지공동모금회가 주관하는 ‘2025 사랑의 열매 대상’ 기부 분야에서 일반기업으로는 최고 등급인 ‘행복장’을 수상한 바 있다.
