[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 29일 소망진산 유등공원과 망경공원을 잇는 보행육교와 숲속 산책로 설치 공사를 마무리하고, 현장을 찾아 사업 전반의 추진 결과를 점검했다.

 

이번에 조성된 보행육교는 망경동 사거리에서 희망교 방면 망경로 상부에 설치된 길이 40m의 철골 구조물로, 시민들의 안전한 보행은 물론 주변 경관과 어우러진 공간으로 조성됐다.

 

진주시는 알루미늄 타공패널과 조명을 활용해 주야간 모두 물결무늬 경관을 감상할 수 있도록 했으며, 엘리베이터를 설치해 보행 약자를 포함해 시민 누구나 편리하게 공원을 이용할 수 있다.

 

시는 보행육교 설치로 소망진산 유등공원과 망경공원이 직접 연결되면서 두 공원 간 이동이 한층 수월해졌고, 시민들의 이용 편의성도 크게 높아졌다.

 

이와 함께 진주시는 보행육교와 봉수대를 잇는 기존 노후 산책로를 정비해 남강의 자연경관을 따라 걸을 수 있는 숲속 산책로를 새롭게 조성했다.
