▲ 밀양시, 문화인프라 확충으로 체류형 문화도시 기반 강화

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 밀양시는 밀양아리나를 중심으로 한 공연예술 인프라 확충과 무형유산 전승 기반 구축, 도심 편의시설 확충을 통해 체류형 문화도시 조성에 속도를 내고 있다.

 

시는 부북면 밀양아리나 일원에 밀양연극교육체험관(190억원)과 청년연극인 쉼터(78억원)를 2026년 착공해 2027년 준공을 목표로 추진하고 있다.

 

연극교육체험관에는 블랙박스 공연장(154석), 전시·체험공간, 교육실 등이 조성되며, 청년연극인 쉼터는 숙박형 체류공간(20실)을 갖춰 창작과 체류가 가능한 연극 생태계를 완성하게 된다.

 

또한 삼문동 구 법원 부지에는 밀양무형유산 전수교육관(320억원)이 건립 중이며, 교육·전시·공연 기능을 갖춘 무형유산 전승 거점으로 2027년 준공 예정이다.

 

인근에는 국립 무형유산원 밀양분원(457억원, 전액 국비)이 2026년 착공을 목표로 추진되어, 영남권 무형유산 행정·연구·교육의 중심 역할을 맡게 된다.

 

아울러 시는 향교 일원에 공영주차장(44억원, 80면 규모)을 조성해 도심 문화시설 이용객 증가에 따른 주차난 해소와 시민 편의도 함께 개선할 계획이다.
