[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] ‘사천 스카이시티 AI 데이터센터’ 사업의 성공적 추진을 위해 사업 시행사인 ㈜태왕디엔디와 사천시가 22일 실무 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 사전심의와 인·허가 전 과정을 아우르는 원스톱 행정 지원 체계를 더욱 공고히 하고, AI데이터센터 구축을 통한 미래 성장동력 확보를 위한 실질적 협력 기반을 마련하기 위한 것이다.

협약서에는 투자기업의 성공적인 사업 추진을 위한 행정 지원을 실무협의체를 통하여 적극 제공한다 등에 관한 사항이 담겼다.

사천시는 이번 실무업무협약을 계기로 AI데이터센터 사업을 보다 체계적이고 속도감 있게 추진해 AI·반도체 산업 클러스터 조성, 글로벌 투자유치, 일자리 창출, 우주항공복합도시 활성화 등 지역 산업 구조의 고도화와 미래 성장동력 확보에 박차를 가한다는 방침이다.  

박동식 시장은 “민·관이 한 팀이 되어 인·허가 애로를 사전에 해소하고, 2026년 건축허가와 착공, 2028년 준공까지 흔들림 없이 추진해 사천을 AI·우주항공 융합 거점도시로 도약시키겠다”고 말했다.
