[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 탄소중립 실현과 대기질 개선을 위해 오는 30일부터 2026년 전기자동차 1차 보급사업을 신청한다고 27일 밝혔다.

 

이번 1차 보급 규모는 전기승용차 500대와 전기화물차 100대 등 총 600대로 지난해 대비 약 2배 확대돼 친환경차 보급에 속도가 붙을 전망이다.

 

전기승용차는 최대 741만원, 전기화물차는 소형 기준 최대 1885만원까지 차종별로 차등 보조금이 지원된다.

 

또 시는 올해부터 기존 내연기관차를 폐차하거나 중고로 판매한 뒤 전기차를 구매하는 경우 전환지원금을 새롭게 지원한다.

 

진주시는 지난 2025년 12월 말 기준 전기자동차 보급률은 4.0%로, 전국 평균과 경남도 평균을 웃돌며 선도적 성과를 보이고 있다.

 

전기차 구매를 희망하는 시민은 자동차 판매 대리점을 통해 신청, 세부 내용은 진주시청 누리집 등에서 확인할 수 있다.
