[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 국립창원대학교는 6일 대학본부 인송홀에서 산업통상자원부와 ‘M.AX(Manufacturing AX) 업무협약’을 체결했다. 이번 협약은 창원국가산업단지의 체질을 근본적으로 바꾸는 '제조 AI 전환'의 로드맵을 담고 있다.

 

이번 협약의 가장 차별화된 지점은 국립창원대가 제안한 ‘Demo Dark Factory(D²F, 데모 다크 팩토리)’로, 이는 조명조차 필요 없는 완전 자동화 공장을 대학 캠퍼스 내에 구현하여 실증 기반을 조성하는 프로젝트다.

 

협약서에는 △M.AX 테스트베드 등 실증 인프라 구축·운영 △M.AX 전문인력 양성 및 재직자 직무전환 지원 △입주기업 M.AX 지원을 위한 종합 지원체계 구축·운영 △산업단지 M.AX 데이터 활용체계 구축 △M.AX 창업 생태계 조성 △규제 특례 및 제도 개선 방안 연구 등 6대 협력과제가 담겼다. 또한 협약 이행을 위해 실무협의체를 구성해 정기적으로 추진상황을 점검하기로 했다.

 

국립창원대는 이번 협약을 통해 '현장 실무형 AX 인재' 육성에 박차를 가한다. 기존의 이론 중심 교육에서 벗어나, 실제 D²F 현장에서 데이터 기반의 의사결정을 내릴 수 있는 전문 인력을 키우겠다는 전략이다. 특히 재직자들을 대상으로 한 ‘직무 전환 교육’은 급격한 산업 구조 변화 속에서 지역 노동자들이 소외되지 않도록 돕는 안전망 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
