[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 대한민국 봄의 서막을 알리는 최대 벚꽃 축제, ‘제64회 진해군항제’가 3월 27일 개막식을 시작으로 4월 5일까지 10일간 창원특례시 진해구 전역에서 펼쳐진다. 올해 군항제는 ‘봄의 시작’을 슬로건으로 단순한 관람형 축제를 넘어 관광객이 머무르고 직접 참여하는 체류형·참여형 축제로 꾸며진다.

먼저 축제의 시작을 알리는 공식 행사는 3월 27일에 집중된다. 오후 6시부터는 진해공설운동장에서 제64회 진해군항제와 진해군악의장 페스티벌 공동개막식이 진행되며, 군악대·의장대 공연과 가수 이새벽, 에녹의 축하 무대가 어우러져 본격적인 축제의 개막을 알릴 예정이다.

시는 원활한 교통과 관광객 편의 확보를 위해 임시주차장 5,950면을 마련하였다. 주말에는 블루·옐로·레드 3개 노선의 무료 셔틀버스를 운행하며 평일은 경화역~진해역~북원로터리를 순환하는 무료셔틀버스를 운영한다. 또한 주말에는 북원로터리~진해역~중앙시장~경화역 구간 3.2km에 버스전용차로제를 시행하여 축제장을 찾는 관광객들이 보다 편리하게 이동할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.
