[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함안군이 청년 유출 대응과 지역 정착 기반 강화를 위해 올해 청년정책에 약 140억 원을 투입한다. 

 

단순 지원을 넘어 청년 의견을 정책에 직접 반영하며 ‘청년이 머무는 도시’ 조성에 속도를 내고 있다.

 

군은 지난 7일 함안청년센터에서 청년정책위원회 정기회의를 열고 ‘2026년 청년정책 시행계획’을 심의·의결했다고 밝혔다.

 

이날 회의에는 위원장인 석욱희 부군수를 비롯해 군의원, 전문가, 청년 활동가, 관계 공무원 등 10여 명이 참석해 지난해 추진 사업 성과와 올해 정책 방향을 공유했다. 

 

특히 청년 대표 위원들이 지역에서 체감하는 어려움과 필요한 지원 정책을 직접 제안하며 현장 의견을 전달했다.

 

군은 올해 ‘청년이 성장하는 함안 만들기’를 비전으로 △일자리 △주거 △복지·문화 △참여 등 4개 분야에서 모두 35개 청년 지원사업을 추진할 계획이다.

 

이를 위해 자립 기반 마련과 정착 안정, 생활 활력 향상, 정책 참여 확대 등을 목표로 약 140억 원 규모의 예산을 편성했다. 

 

군은 청년 의견을 반영해 정책 추진 상황을 지속 점검하고 실효성 있는 사업 운영에 집중한다는 방침이다.

 

석욱희 부군수는 “청년정책은 청년들이 지역에서 꿈을 키우고 안정적으로 정착할 수 있는 기반”이라며 “청년이 실제로 체감할 수 있는 정책 발굴과 지원 확대에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

 

한편 함안군 청년정책위원회는 ‘함안군 청년 기본 조례’에 따라 운영되는 심의·자문기구로, 청년 의견 수렴과 정책 실효성 강화 역할을 맡고 있다.
