[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시장 후보들이 오는 6월 3일 지방선거를 앞두고 한자리에 모여 지역 복지정책 방향과 시민 삶의 질 향상 방안을 논의하는 초청 토론회를 개최해 관심이 집중되고 있다.

 

이번 행사는 진주시사회복지협의회와 진주시사회복지사협회, kns뉴스통신, 브레이크경남뉴스, 서부경남·진주 언론인연합회가 공동 주최, 진주시사회복지정책연대가 주관해 복지정책 공론의 장으로 마련된다.

 

이번 토론회는 시민과 함께 묻고 듣고 만들어가는 복지정책의 중요성을 공유하고, 진주시 미래를 위한 책임 있는 논의와 시민 참여를 이끄는 계기가 될 것으로 주최 측은 기대하고 있다.

 

토론회는 오는 20일 오전 10시부터 12시까지 진주시생활체육관에서 열리며 ‘복지로 하나되는 진주, 모두가 행복한 시민’을 주제로 정책 비전과 실행 방안을 심도 있게 다룰 예정이다.

 

이날 행사에는 지역 사회복지사와 복지 관계자 등 1000여명 이상이 참석할 예정으로, 복지 현장의 다양한 목소리와 정책 요구가 후보자들에게 직접 전달될 것으로 기대를 모으고 있다.
