[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도교육청이 정신건강 위기 학생에 대한 조기 발견과 전문 치료 연계를 위한 ‘동·서부 학생 정신건강 거점센터’를 구축했다.

 

경남교육청은 27일 경상국립대학교병원 암센터 대회의실에서 ‘학생 정신건강 거점센터 지정식’을 열고 경상국립대학교병원을 서부권, 창원경상국립대학교병원을 동부권 거점센터로 각각 지정했다고 밝혔다.

 

이번 지정은 민간위탁 공모 절차와 심사를 거쳐 이뤄졌으며, 학생 정신건강 지원체계를 학교 중심 상담에서 의료 연계형 전문 지원체계로 확대했다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

 

거점센터는 학교가 의뢰한 고위기 학생을 대상으로 종합심리검사와 정신건강 전문의 자문, 보호자·교사 상담, 치료 연계, 학습 지원 등을 통합 제공하는 원스톱 시스템으로 운영된다.

 

특히 최근 학생 우울·불안과 정서 위기 사례가 증가하는 상황에서 공공의료기관 중심의 전문 대응 체계를 구축해 학생 정신건강 안전망을 강화하게 됐다.

 

이날 지정식에는 박종훈 교육감을 비롯해 경상국립대학교병원 안성기 병원장, 창원경상국립대학교병원 황수현 병원장 등이 참석했다.

 

박 교육감은 “학교와 병원의 문턱을 낮춰 학생들이 치료의 골든타임을 놓치지 않도록 하겠다”며 “정신건강 위기 학생 지원체계를 더욱 촘촘히 구축해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
