[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 제9회 전국동시지방선거 사전투표를 앞두고 사전투표소를 대상으로 현장점검을 실시하며 시민들이 투표할 수 있도록 준비 상황을 점검했다.

박일동 진주시장 권한대행은 충무공동 사전투표소를 방문해 투표소 설치 상태와 운영 준비 현황을 직접 확인하고 관계자들에게 차질 없는 운영을 당부했다.

시는 통신망과 사전투표 장비 작동 여부, 안내표지 설치, 이동약자 편의시설, 안전관리 대책 등을 중점 점검하며 현장 혼선 예방에 만전을 기했다.

진주시는 오는 6월 2일 본투표소에 대한 추가 현장점검도 실시할 계획이며, 선거일까지 관계기관과 협조체계를 유지해 원활한 투표 지원에 나설 방침이다.

박일동 진주시장 권한대행은 “시민들이 안심하고 소중한 한 표를 행사할 수 있도록 선거일까지 빈틈없는 준비와 행정지원에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
