▲ 거제시, 어르신 교통복지 확대…택시요금 월 3만원 지원

[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 거제시가 고령층 이동권 보장을 위해 어르신 교통비 지원 대상을 버스에서 택시까지 확대한다.

 

거제시는 오는 7월 1일부터 70세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 택시요금 월 3만 원을 지원하는 ‘어르신 택시 교통카드’ 사업을 시행한다고 밝혔다.

 

지원 대상은 거제시에 주민등록을 둔 1956년 12월 31일 이전 출생자다. 대상자는 기존 ‘거제패스’를 통한 시내·마을버스 월 20회 무료 이용 또는 택시요금 월 3만 원 지원 가운데 한 가지를 선택할 수 있다.

 

새로 도입되는 택시 교통카드는 거동이 불편하거나 버스 이용이 어려운 어르신들의 이동 편의를 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

 

신청은 6월 29일부터 주소지 면·동 주민센터에서 가능하며, 카드는 현장에서 즉시 발급된다. 지원금은 매월 1일 자동 충전되며 사용하지 않은 잔액은 이월되지 않는다.

 

카드는 거제지역 ‘EZL(이즐)’ 결제 시스템이 설치된 택시에서 사용할 수 있으며, 1회 최대 1만5천 원까지 결제 가능하다. 지원금 초과 금액은 현금이나 신용카드 등으로 추가 결제할 수 있다.
