▲ 일본 슬로시티 연구진, 김해 방문…슬로시티 정책 벤치마킹

[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 일본 슬로시티 네트워크에서 활동하는 마에바시시 교수진이 김해를 찾아 슬로시티 정책과 관광·역사문화 자원을 둘러보며 지역 활성화 사례를 벤치마킹했다.

김해시에 따르면 이번 방문은 일본 군마현 마에바시시에서 슬로시티와 지역 활성화를 연구하는 교수진이 김해의 정책 추진 사례를 살펴보기 위해 마련됐다. 방문단은 도요대학교, 쿄아이가쿠엔 마에바시국제대학교 소속 교수 3명으로 구성됐다.

방문단은 분성산 생태숲 황톳길 맨발걷기길을 체험하며 산림치유 정책을 살펴보고, 김해한옥체험관에서 슬로시티 인증 과정과 추진 현황에 대한 설명을 들으며 정책 전반에 대해 의견을 교환했다.

또 역사문화 도보해설 프로그램 '걸어봄김해'를 통해 수로왕릉과 대성동고분군을 둘러보고, 낙동강레일파크 와인동굴 등을 방문해 김해의 관광 콘텐츠와 지역 활성화 사례를 체험했다.

방문단은 역사문화자원을 활용한 관광 콘텐츠와 슬로시티 정책이 도시 전반에 체계적으로 반영된 점에 높은 관심을 나타냈다.

송둘순 김해시 관광과장은 "이번 방문이 한·일 슬로시티 정책과 지역 활성화 사례를 공유하는 계기가 됐다"며 "지속 가능한 관광정책을 바탕으로 국제 교류를 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Japanese Slow City Researchers Visit Gimhae to Benchmark Slow City Policies

A delegation of professors from Maebashi City, active in the Japanese Slow City Network, visited Gimhae to benchmark local revitalization practices while examining Slow City policies and tourism and historical and cultural resources.

According to Gimhae City, this visit was arranged for professors from Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, who research Slow Cities and regional revitalization, to examine Gimhae's policy implementation cases. The visiting delegation consisted of three professors from Toyo University and Kyoai Gakuen Maebashi International University.

The delegation experienced the red clay path and barefoot walking trail at Bunseongsan Ecological Forest to examine forest healing policies. At the Gimhae Hanok Experience Center, they listened to explanations regarding the Slow City certification process and current status, and exchanged opinions on overall policies.

Additionally, through the historical and cultural walking commentary program "Walking Gimhae," they toured the Tomb of King Suro and the Daeseong-dong Ancient Tombs, and visited the Nakdong River Rail Park Wine Cave to experience Gimhae's tourism content and examples of regional revitalization. The visiting delegation showed keen interest in the tourism content utilizing historical and cultural resources and the fact that Slow City policies are systematically reflected throughout the city.

Song Dul-sun, Director of the Tourism Division of Gimhae City, said, "This visit served as an opportunity to share Korea-Japan Slow City policies and examples of regional revitalization," adding, "We will expand international exchanges based on sustainable tourism policies."
