경남테크노파크는 보잉(The Boeing Company), 대한항공(KE), 한국항공우주산업(KAI), 한국산업기술시험원(KTL)과 ‘한국 특수공정인증 기술포럼(KOREA Special Processor Forum, 이하 KSPF)’ 참여 협약을 체결했다고 2일 밝혔다.

 

이번 협약은 산업통상자원부와 한국산업기술진흥원(KIAT)이 지원하고 경상남도가 주관하는 「동남권 지역혁신클러스터육성사업」의 글로벌 협력 프로그램 일환으로 추진됐다. 

 

항공기 부품 제조에서 열처리, 표면처리, 용접 등 '특수공정'은 안전과 직결되는 핵심 영역이다. 이 때문에 보잉 등 글로벌 수요처에 부품을 납품하려면 각 기업의 엄격한 자체 인증을 통과해야 한다. 하지만 지역 중소기업들은 인증 기준 해석의 어려움과 시험평가 데이터 부족, 심사 대응력 한계 등으로 공급망 진입에 애를 먹어왔다.

 

협약의 첫 행보로 경남TP와 KTL은 지난달 26일 롯데호텔앤리조트 김해 가야홀에서 ‘항공 특수공정인증 기술포럼’을 개최했다. 이날 포럼에는 보잉, 대한항공, KAI 등 글로벌 항공산업 관계자들이 대거 참석해 △항공 특수공정 기술 및 시장 동향 △글로벌 인증 요구사항 △공정별 심사 사례 등을 발표했다. 인증 획득을 준비하는 지역 기업 관계자들에게 생생한 실무 정보를 제공하는 교류의 장이 됐다는 평가다.

 

경남TP 김정환 원장은 “이번 협약은 경남 항공기업이 글로벌 항공기 제작사 및 국내 대표 항공기업과 기술협력 기반을 넓히는 중요한 계기”라며 “경남TP는 주관기관으로서 KTL 등 참여기관과 긴밀히 협력해 지역 항공기업의 인증 대응력과 글로벌 시장 진입 역량을 높이고, 경남 항공산업이 세계 공급망에서 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

 

KTL 관계자 이의종 기계소재기술센터장은 “KTL은 항공 분야 시험평가와 인증 지원 경험을 바탕으로 경남 항공기업이 현장에서 필요로 하는 실무형 기술지원을 강화하겠다”며 “경남TP와 함께 KSPF를 내실 있게 운영해 지역 기업의 품질 경쟁력 향상과 해외시장 진출을 뒷받침하겠다”고 말했다.
