[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시시설관리공단은 진주종합경기장 주경기장 내 노후된 배수로 덮개를 자체 인력과 기술을 활용한 도색·도장 정비를 실시해 약 3천900만원의 예산을 절감했다고 6일 밝혔다.

 

공단은 지난 3월부터 지난 2010년 준공 이후 노후화된 배수로 덮개 309여 개를 교체하는 방안을 검토, 신규 교체 시 약 3천900만원의 예산이 소요되는 점을 고려해 자체 유지보수 방식으로 계획을 전환했다.

 

현장 직원들은 그라인더와 철 브러시 등을 이용한 샌딩 작업으로 녹과 기존 도장을 제거한 뒤 철제 스프레이 페인트를 활용해 도색을 완료했으며, 작업 전 과정을 자체적으로 수행해 총 77만원가량의 비용만으로 정비를 마무리했다.

 

이번 정비는 시설관리 전문성과 현장 기술력을 적극 활용한 사례로, 신규 교체 비용의 약 2% 수준만 투입해 약 3천900만원의 예산을 절감하는 동시에 공공시설의 효율적인 유지관리 모델을 제시했다.

 

또 공단은 자체 도색 작업을 통해 시설물의 내구성과 수명을 연장하고 미관도 개선함으로써 축구경기와 각종 대규모 행사 개최 시 시민들에게 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 경기장 환경을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
