▲ 합천군, 전국 첫 AI 기반 한우 이력관리 구축…축산물품질평가원·합천축협과 협약

[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군이 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 한우 스마트 이력관리 체계 구축에 나선다.

 

합천군은 7일 군청 소회의실에서 축산물품질평가원, 합천축산업협동조합과 'AI 기반 스마트 이력관리 체계 구축'을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

 

군은 소의 코무늬(비문)를 활용한 AI 개체식별 기술을 도입해 한우 이력관리의 정확성을 높이고, 지역 대표 브랜드인 '합천황토한우'의 경쟁력을 강화할 계획이다.

 

기존 한우 개체관리는 귀표를 중심으로 이뤄졌으나, 귀표 훼손이나 탈락 시 개체 확인에 어려움이 있었다. 군은 소마다 다른 코무늬를 AI로 인식·등록해 기존 관리방식을 보완하고 보다 체계적인 이력관리 시스템을 구축한다는 방침이다.

 

등록된 개체 정보는 축산물이력제와 가축시장 경매시스템 등과 연계해 활용할 예정이다. 이를 통해 사육과 유통 과정에서 개체 확인의 정확성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 군은 기대하고 있다.

 

협약에 따라 합천군은 행정 지원과 관계기관 협의를 맡고, 축산물품질평가원은 이력관리 시스템 연계와 기술 지원을 담당한다. 합천축협은 민간기업과 함께 시스템 개발과 현장 보급을 추진한다.

 

합천군은 향후 축적되는 개체 데이터를 활용해 생산성 향상과 우량축 관리 등 스마트 축산 기반 구축에도 활용할 계획이다.
