[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 청년 예술인들의 가장 큰 고민인 ‘창작 공간 확보’를 해결하고 지역 문화예술의 지형을 바꿀 의미 있는 공모가 시작된다. 창원특례시는 청년문화예술복합공간인 ‘스펀지파크’에 입주해 독창적인 예술 세계를 펼쳐나갈 청년 예술인(팀)을 지난 6일부터 오는 19일까지 추가 모집한다고 밝혔다.

 

지난 2024년 첫 문을 연 ‘스펀지파크 창작공간 지원 사업’은 자생 기반이 취약한 청년 예술인들에게 안정적인 창작 환경을 제공하고, 이를 통해 지역 청년 문화를 활성화하기 위해 마련된 창원시의 대표적인 청년 예술 지원 정책이다.

 

이번 추가 모집 규모는 총 3개 팀(개인 또는 단체)으로, 모집 분야는 공예, 회화, 설치미술, 미디어 아트, 사진, 웹툰 등 시각 및 디지털 문화·예술 분야를 총망라한다.

 

최종 선정된 입주 예술인들은 계약 체결일로부터 약 1년 후인 2027년 6월 30일까지 스펀지파크 내 작가 전용 창작공간을 무상으로 지원받는다. 이외에도 입주 작가들이 기획하는 시민 체험 및 교육 프로그램에 대한 선정 우대 혜택 등 다각적인 대외 활동 기회도 함께 주어진다.
