[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 조규일 진주시장은 8일 중앙부처를 방문해 우주항공과 문화·창업 분야를 포함한 9개 핵심사업에 대한 정부 예산 반영을 요청하고 지역 현안 해결을 위한 적극적인 협조를 건의했다.

 

조 시장은 조용범 예산실장 등 기획예산처 관계자들과 잇따라 면담하며 진주의 미래 성장동력 확보를 위해 국비 지원이 반드시 필요한 사업의 필요성과 당위성을 설명하고, 내년도 정부 예산안에 핵심사업이 반영될 수 있도록 적극적인 지원을 요청했다.

 

또 그는 이재명 대통령이 진주에서 발표한 영남권 메가 프로젝트의 남해안 우주항공 산업벨트와 연계해 미래형 비행체 안전성 평가 플랫폼, 항공기 복합소재 플랫폼, 우주산업 특화 3D프린팅 지원센터 구축 등 우주항공 기반사업의 국비 지원 필요성을 강조했다.

 

이번에 건의한 사업은 민군 겸용 미래형 비행체 안전성 평가 플랫폼 구축과 기능성 복합소재 개발, 우주산업 특화 3D프린팅 지원센터를 비롯해 진양호 수달 생태관찰로와 대한민국 기업가정신관 건립 등 모두 9건으로 총사업 규모는 약 140억원이다.
