심씨는 2016년 4월부터 10년 가까이 지역사회에서 자원봉사활동을 이어오며 복지와 나눔문화 확산에 기여해 왔다. 최근 1년 동안 49회, 315시간의 봉사활동을 했으며, 누적 봉사 실적은 77회, 422시간이다.

김해보훈요양원에서는 국가유공자 어르신을 대상으로 일상생활 지원과 말벗 봉사를 했으며, 현재는 사회적협동조합 '더꿈'에서 발달장애인 학습 지원과 외출 동행, 차량 지원 등을 통해 장애아동의 자립과 사회참여를 돕고 있다.

심씨는 "봉사는 누군가를 돕는 일이면서 스스로도 함께 성장하는 시간"이라며 "앞으로도 지역사회를 위한 나눔을 이어가고 싶다"고 말했다.
