[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 대한민국 수출 주도 경제성장의 상징이자 마산 경제의 버팀목이었던 마산자유무역지역이 첨단 기술과 친환경이 결합한 '미래형 스마트 산단'으로의 대대적인 체질 개선에 나선다.

 

국민의힘 윤한홍 의원(창원 마산회원구)은 10일 산업통상자원부의 ‘2026년 산업단지 지원사업 공모’에서 마산자유무역지역이 핵심 고도화 사업 3개에 동시 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

 

산자부의 올해 공모는 전국 산단의 제조 AI 전환(M.AX), 탄소중립 전환(GX), 혁신역량 강화 등을 목표로 추진됐다. 마산자유무역지역이 이 까다로운 심사를 뚫고 핵심 과제들을 따내면서, 오랜 숙원이었던 '물류 혁신'과 '친환경 에너지 자립'을 동시에 실현할 발판을 마련했다.
