[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군이 저출산 대응과 출산 친화 환경 조성을 위해 출산(입양)장려금을 대폭 확대한다.

군은 「합천군 인구증가시책 지원 조례 시행규칙」을 개정해 2026년 1월 1일 이후 출생한 첫째아와 둘째아의 출산장려금을 각각 500만원과 700만원으로 상향한다고 밝혔다.

기존 지원금은 첫째아 100만원, 둘째아 300만원이었으며, 개정안 시행으로 첫째아는 5배, 둘째아는 2배 이상 지원 규모가 늘어난다. 장려금은 모두 5년에 걸쳐 분할 지급된다.

군은 출산을 미루거나 포기하는 가정이 늘어나는 상황에서 첫째아와 둘째아 출산 단계의 경제적 부담을 줄이는 것이 출산율 제고에 효과적이라고 판단해 지원 대상을 강화했다고 설명했다.

이와 함께 다자녀 지원금 지급 기준도 기존 '초등학교 입학 전년도까지'에서 '생후 83개월까지'로 변경해 출생 시기에 따른 지원금 차이를 해소하고 수혜 형평성을 높였다.

김윤철 군수는 "첫째와 둘째 출산 단계부터 지원을 강화해 출산을 고민하는 가정에 실질적인 도움이 되도록 하겠다"며 "군민이 체감할 수 있는 인구 증가 정책을 지속적으로 발굴해 추진하겠다"고 말했다.
