[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 통영시는 지난 6월 4일부터 7월 14일까지 지역 4개 초등학교 학생 232명을 대상으로 '미덕(버츄) 활용 청소년 인성 프로그램'을 운영했다고 밝혔다.

이번 프로그램은 초등학교 4~6학년을 대상으로 총 4회기에 걸쳐 진행됐으며, 학생들이 자신의 강점을 발견하고 존중과 배려, 협력, 책임감 등 핵심 인성 가치를 체험 중심으로 익힐 수 있도록 구성됐다.

참가 학생들은 다양한 활동을 통해 서로 소통하고 협력하는 시간을 가지며 타인을 이해하고 건강한 관계를 형성하는 방법을 배웠다. 시는 일방적인 강의 방식보다 참여형 프로그램을 중심으로 교육 효과를 높였다고 설명했다.

통영시청소년상담복지센터는 이번 프로그램을 계기로 청소년 인성교육을 지속 확대할 계획이다. 센터는 상담과 교육, 예방사업 등을 연계해 학교와 청소년 시설을 대상으로 다양한 지원 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.

센터 관계자는 "청소년들이 일상 속에서 미덕을 실천하며 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 체험·실천 중심의 인성교육을 지속 확대해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
