경남경찰청은 진주 지역혁신청년센터에 서부권 마음동행센터를 개소하고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다고 31일 밝혔다.

 

마음동행센터는 사건·사고 현장 등에서 발생하는 외상후 스트레스와 우울, 불안 등 심리적 어려움을 겪는 경찰관들에게 전문 상담과 심리검사, 치료 연계 서비스를 제공하는 심리지원 전문기관이다.

 

경남경찰청은 그동안 창원 한마음병원에서 마음동행센터를 운영해 왔으며, 이번 서부권 센터 개소로 진주를 비롯한 서부경남 경찰관들도 가까운 곳에서 전문 상담과 맞춤형 심리치료를 받을 수 있게 됐다.

 

새로 문을 연 센터에는 상담실과 심리검사실을 갖추고 전문 상담사가 상주하며 심리상담과 심리검사, 의료기관 연계 등 다양한 마음건강 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.
