경상남도는 도내 전 시·군에 폭염특보가 발효되고 가뭄 상황까지 악화됨에 따라 재난안전대책본부 대응 단계를 ‘비상 2단계’로 격상하고 도민 안전 확보와 피해 최소화에 나섰다고 3일 밝혔다.

 

앞서 지난 2일 양산시 낮 최고기온은 42.5도를 기록해 국내 기상관측 이래 가장 높은 기온으로 기록됐다. 현재 도내 14개 시군에는 폭염중대경보, 7개 시군에는 폭염경보, 2개 시군에는 폭염주의보가 내려진 상태다.

 

경남도는 폭염 취약계층 보호를 위해 18개 시군과 비상근무 체계를 가동하고, 취약계층 안전 확인을 하루 2회 이상 실시하고 있다. 논밭과 야외 작업장 등 취약지역에는 마을방송과 드론, 가두방송 차량 등을 활용한 안전 안내도 확대했다.
