[브레이크뉴스=양영석기자] 밀양시시설관리공단은 “의열체험관”이 오는 7월 1일 정식 개관한다고 29일 밝혔다. 

11명의 독립운동가 생가지가 모여 있는 내이동 해천거리에 자리한 의열체험관은 지난 4월 28일 개관해 약 2개월간 무료 시범운영을 하는 동안 전시 및 시설을 보완했다.

밀양 의열체험관은 국내 유일의 ‘의열 항일운동’ 테마 체험관으로, 의열단이 조직된 1919년으로 기차를 타고 시간 이동해 비밀 독립투사로서 다양한 임무를 수행하는 항일운동 체험을 할 수 있다.

이병희 이사장은 “어린이 및 젊은 세대들이 항일독립운동을 직접 체험함으로써 항일독립운동의 역사를 쉽게 이해하고, 그 시대 독립운동가들이 가졌던 간절한 마음이 전달되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
