이날 초매식에는 진병영 함양군수, 박용운 군의회의장, 김재웅 도의원, 생산자·중매인 등 50여명이 참석한 가운데 군의 대표 농산물인 명품 함양곶감이 소비자들에게 높은 가격으로 판매되길 기원했다.

함양군은 이번 곶감 초매식을 비롯해 12월 30일부터 1월 1일까지 3일간 상림공원 일원에서 ‘제7회 함양고종시 곶감축제’를 개최해 함양곶감 홍보 및 판매를 비롯해 체험행사, 농특산물 판매 등을 진행한다.
