[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원지방법원은 창원시에 화해 권고를 요청했고 창원시와 남창원농협은 모두 결과에 수용했다. 

민사재판은 결과에 따라 수혜자와 피해자가 발생하는데, 이번 재판의 수혜자는 당연히 남창원농협이고 피해자는 창원시와 시민이라고 하면 과한 해석일까?

이에 창원시는 남창원농협에 대 시민 사과문을 발표해 시민에 대한 사과를 해줄 것을 요청했지만, 거절당한 것으로 확인돼 논란이 일 것으로 예상된다. 

이번 창원지법의 판결과정을 통해 판결문이 나오기까지를 살펴보면, 재판부가 "남창원농협은 아무런 잘못이 없습니다"라고 판결하지 않았다. 

재판부는 남창원농협의 잘못을 인정했고, 다만 창원시가 구상권 청구의 직접 당사자가 아니라는 것이다. 

지난 2021년 8월에 있었던 남창원농협 발 코로나 사태로 2만여 명의 창원시민이 피해를 입었다. 이례적으로 보건복지부장관까지 나서 창원시에 강력한 행정처분을 주문했다. 

이런 중차대한 사건을 단지 시간이 지났다고 해서, 시민들의 생각에서 잊혀졌다고 해서 없었던 일로 넘겨버리기엔, 남창원농협 발 코로나 사태는 너무나 컸고 너무도 많은 시민들이 힘들어 했고, 시민들이 기업으로부터 직접 피해를 입은 일이었기에 잊혀져서는 안되는 일이다.
